Taylor Brianna Francis is an actress and singer from Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York. Her artistic roots began when she was recruited into her church’s choir at age 11 after the music director overheard her singing to herself. Even with her shyness & stuttering quirk, she still garnered a will to pursue the art of performing. Taylor put the practice by performing with the church choir every Sunday up until she was a teenager and was always involved in art programs within her community. She enrolled in Brooklyn High School of the Arts studying vocal music & theatre. Through her school, she joined The Moth and became one of the first High School StorySLAM champions where she got to perform for NYC’s Moth Ball in 2014. Soon after, she was invited to her first acting audition propelling her to immerse herself in the thespian world. Taylor found her footing by making her own mini films, performing in music videos for her friends, and acting in student films, including her role as Nic in the short film ‘Soredia’ directed by Julia Ponce Diaz as a thesis project at AFI. In 2022, she made her feature film debut as Faye Wood in the independent coming-of-age film 'Fingers In The Wind’ directed by Chad Murdock. Soon after, she went on to train in the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio under the tutelage of Barbara Marchant. After completing the program, she is now doing theatre in New York.
